Today consisted of the slabs for the basement and garage being poured. It was still very muddy. Today, I got to bring a little bit of my new home, home to my old home in the form of mud all over my shoes! LOL.

Does it mean that the garage failed? |
A slab of concrete is poured, in forms, on top of a prepared bed of
compacted sand and gravel. It is usually reinforced with re-bar and
heavy wire mesh for strength and stability... which I showed you yesterday. :)

I can't wait to walk on it! |
|
It already has a dent on the edge, am I odd that I want it fixed? |
|
I can see the slight slope on the garage in this picture |
That's great, our stuff was poured today too :) What is that first picture that you have with the date, inspection, comments, etc.? Where does that come from?
ReplyDeleteI made a blog post about it here: http://buildingourabode.blogspot.com/2013/06/visit-your-countys-building-zoning.html

This is very neat, and different from how they did it in our house. They say they will pour the basement floor after they finish the roof. Where is the first picture from? Is this something the PM send you or the city/county has online? Would love to get something like that. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteWow, I've never seen the basement poured after the roof. Is that an area thing?
