Days 34, 35, and 36 Rough Ins!

Collectively, the last 3 days were pretty rough... lol  It was our electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and Guardian rough-ins.

First, it appears that the waterproofing had a run-in with some large equipment which I pointed out to the PM.  They look like they attempted a fix but I still see holes, is this a problem?
I think as it's stormed the dirt weight has pulled it down and torn it
There's still holes around the white holders, is this a problem?
I've nicknamed the following the monster:
Most important room in the house:
Not the way I would setup the recess lighting.  Going to see if they can be moved
1 of the 2 Washer/Dryer hookups :)
What's up with the black trash bags? LOL
There also seems to be some serious erosion issues with our lot

Day 33 - Doors

We've got doors!  We've got a temporary front door - it will be changed to our half glass door sometime soon maybe?  We also got our beautiful garage door and morning room door.  My apologies for the poor quality, it was getting dark out but couldn't wait to show everyone!
I'm glad we didn't get the sliding door.

House was all closed up - no door knobs but definitely felt "keep out"

Day 32 - Roof and Supplies

Today we got shingles!  Well, some of them anyway.  We have felt on the entire roof and part of the highest peaks shingled.  I had to bring a 3 step stepstoll to get into the house.  It's so high off the ground and they haven't put in any steps yet.  I never wanted so many steps to get in.  Frustrating.

My apologies for some of the poor quality basement pictures.  It was dark and like a sauna down there!
I'm glad they have safety harnesses - even if it's just a rope

I hope they do a good job, I want my roof to last

There's a gap in the peaks, I hope it doesn't cause problems

Morning Room - not a great view but lots of light

Our future kitchen!  SO excited about this room

Goodies for HVAC and stuffs

Formal Living Room, Bathroom

Loft window

Front bedroom

Looking into the Owners and hall bathroom

Middle bedroom and owners bath

Basement Egress window - I HATE the well

Utility/Storage area of basement

I asked to have the closet moved further under stairs

Day 30 - Windows

Today we got windows!  We also got our space suit!  OOO shiny!!!!  Looks like we got some of the exterior accents as well.  I can hardly believe how fast it's moving.
I can see our doors hiding inside the garage
I wish we would have gotten the side door now
Love all the windows
We're still missing all our basement windows
That teeny tiny window is my bathroom lol

Day 29 - 2nd Floor Framed

Today I believe our second floor and roof was framed. Thank you again Brittany for all the pictures.  I owe you one!  The PM did send us a few photos, but no where near as helpful as my soon to be neighbor!
It looks very big from the side
I guess there's braces set up?  I hope it's not while the "glue" dries! lol
Look how much higher than the neighbor we are.
I get to see the house for the first time in person tomorrow!  Vacation is nice but horrible timing for house building!

Day 27 - Framing Begins

Our framing began today. Another HUGE thank you to my new neighborhood friend, Brittany!
Looks like they may have gotten the first floor started.
Here is where the metal sticking out of the concrete comes in, they attach the wood to it.
Is it normal for the beams not to go all the way across?
I wonder what the blue rolls are?
I hate the stupid electrical boxes, those need hidden quick!
I guess that guy was camera shy and covered his face.
Framers are so messy! lol

Day 25 - Lumber Delivered

Today our lumber was delivered.  Thank you so much Brittany for the pictures!
Hard to believe all that will be a house
Hope it doesn't rain on it!
I'm very disappointed that we're not there to witness the delivery and our frame going up but at the same time... we've also seen some other wonderful things here on vacation.

First Day of Vacation

It's the first day of vacation and I'm already having stalking withdrawals.  1 whole week without seeing our lot?  And! And! We're finally supposed to get lumber on Monday!  We're supposed to be framed this week! I think I'm ready to go home already. Someone take pictures for me? Sniff sniff. I can't take not being there. Sniff sniff.
Here's where we are staying

Visit Your County's Building & Zoning Website

I've had quite a few e-mails and comments asking where I got the nifty information on my home build inspections like below.

I found this on my county's building and zoning website.  Each county likely has one, but may contain differing amount of information.  Building, property, and zoning info are matters of public record.  You can see not only permit information but also other property information (like costs of the neighbors house ssshhh).

If you can't find your county's records, let me know!  I'm like super detective with Google! LOL.  Seriously though, I don't mind helping you find your information.

Day 19 - Slabs Poured

Today consisted of the slabs for the basement and garage being poured.  It was still very muddy.  Today, I got to bring a little bit of my new home, home to my old home in the form of mud all over my shoes!  LOL.
Does it mean that the garage failed?
A slab of concrete is poured, in forms, on top of a prepared bed of compacted sand and gravel. It is usually reinforced with re-bar and heavy wire mesh for strength and stability... which I showed you yesterday. :)
I can't wait to walk on it!
It already has a dent on the edge, am I odd that I want it fixed?
I can see the slight slope on the garage in this picture
