I wasn't able to get up into the yard to look into the foundation because it was muddy due to rain today.

This blog is all about building a home with Ryan Homes and NVR. The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about the amazing journey of building our first home. This is hoped to be a honest collection of the process, pictures, questions, problems, and solutions throughout the entire process of building our very first home and the bliss of the after. And here we go! We're so very excited!! Please bear with me as I make continual improvements to this blog. :)

Are you on slab or basement? Or crawl space? They poured mine different but maybe I'm in a different area. They did not pour my footers separately, it was all done at once. I'm sure they know what they are doing (or so I tell myself daily).
ReplyDeleteWe're a basement, but they spoke as if the basement floor was called a "slab" as well. I wish I could have gotten up into the yard to peek into the hole.
DeleteThat's neat you can check the status...where are you doing that at? I so wish we had a basement, the extra space would be nice. They just don't do them here unless you pay for a premium sloping lot and then it's an extra $30k on top of that!
DeleteYou're house is going to be wonderful even without the basement! We're able to see our building permit status on the county website. You should check it out!
DeleteLooking good ! We can check our status as well, isn't it handy ??
ReplyDeleteIt is. I like seeing the status of approval or denials lol!
DeleteAll I can do is see that the permit is active, but I can't see any additional info. We are in South Carolina, where are you?
ReplyDeleteI'm in Southeast Ohio. I lucked into the records I guess.
